I am a human & artist who strives to find connection in all things.

I’m mar! thanks for being here & for listening as I take some space… here are a few things I am all about:

+ community over everything

+ spaces where you can be fully yourself (and don’t have to minimize or change yourself to be “acceptable”)

+ finding beauty in myself, others, and the world

+ dancing poorly (but with soul 😛) and singing loudly

+ reading in bed, parsing through tasting notes of a pour-over or espresso, writing bad poetry, journalling nonstop, singing along to hadestown (again)

+ constantly unlearning, relearning and becoming as I go

my values:

you are allowed to be YOU.

there is room for you here. this is a space that was created out of a ferocious desire to give the permission for you to be fully and fearlessly you. this is a space where you are wanted for being exactly YOU.

be curious.

there is no growth without asking questions and following where the evidence leads.

embrace the ordinary.

there is truly nothing better than right here, right now: the present moment is the sacred ground that holds all of who you are right now.

listen carefully.

the most beautiful things in life lay in the listening.

make more bad art.

you can’t create anything great if you are worried about it being good. make more. make it worse. love it more. keep creating.

music is a huge part of my life and how I process through seasons and emotions. I make a playlist for every year of my life & also every couple that I do a session with.
